The fastest Inline Skating Race in Germany...on an unforgettable course
The 2nd of June in 2012 will be a highlight for Europe´s Inline Skater community. The Unesco world cultural heritage area ,,Upper Middle Rhine Valley‘‘ will be held one of the fastest races in the world: The Hochwald Mittelrhein Marathon.
The Hochwald Mittelrhein Marathon is a one of the biggest running and skating events in southwest Germany. On June 2nd 2012 the Marathon starts for the eight time.
The Start will be in Oberwesel at 3:45 pm. The finish line will be right in front of the famous "German Corner" in Koblenz. In between, the course goes along the Rhine, almost straight the whole 42,195 Km.
The world´s best athletes have rated the Hochwald Mittelrhein Marathon as the longest homestretch within the German Inline Cup race series and the most important and fastest Inline-Skating race in Germany.
In 2012 we expect more than 2.000 Inline Skaters from around the World. "We are working hard for this every day", said the managing director of the Marathon, Alex Berger. All the athletes will be cheered by 30.000 spectators and over 1.800 volunteers.
